Programme Details:

The AFGRI Apprenticeship Programme for 2024 offers successful candidates the opportunity to undergo a three-year, in-service training programme as an Artisan within AFGRI Equipment. This paid apprenticeship aims to develop candidates under the guidance of experienced artisans at AFGRI.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive training in Tractor Mechanics/Technician skills
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on related equipment
  • Manage stock control
  • Provide customer service as required
  • Undertake general tasks as needed

Who Should Apply:

To be eligible for the programme, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Completed N2 subjects such as Engineering Science, Mathematics, and Diesel Trade Theory
  • Completed additional subjects like Engineering or Technical Drawing, Engineering Science, or Motor Trade Theory (or equivalents)
  • National Certificate Vocational L4 applicants with relevant theoretical subjects are also encouraged to apply
  • Non-N2 applicants with matric certification must have completed specific subjects and achieved at least 40% or E symbol

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected according to AFGRI’s Employment Equity Policy.
