DEPUTY DIRECTOR: ADMINISTRATION AND COORDINATION REF NO: EP9015/2022

SALARY: R382 245 per year

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma (NQF6) in Public Administration or equivalent qualification within a related field. A project management qualification will be an added bonus. 3-5 years of experience in administration/management and coordination. Knowledge of departmental or government policies and practices (Knowledge of PFMA and other Financial Management and associated prescriptions). intergovernmental understanding relations. FUNCTIONS: Provide administrative support and coordination services to the Office of the DDG for the effective and efficient management of the Subdivision: Environmental Programs. These include the following: Provide procurement and budgeting services for ODDG. Coordinate, consolidate and analyze inputs for the Purchases and Budget of the Branch, in compliance with the applicable deadlines; Coordinate the financial administration functions of the Office of the DDG. Monitor and analyze execution and coordinate PPP reporting and Branch spending. This includes coordinating the planning, monitoring and analysis of the ODDG and the PPP of the EP branch, the procurement plan, finances and risk.
management reports; Analysis of branch expense reports. Quality assurance of shipments and documents submitted to the DDG. Monitor and analyze the execution of audit reports, risk recommendations and quality assurance reports. Provide secretarial functions for relevant meetings related to the Branch and liaise with relevant stakeholders. Identify and direct important and key requests from both internal and external stakeholders to service officials. Coordinate the timely responses of the Branches and compliance with queries, questions, requests and dates (including and not limited to the Cabinet, Portfolio Committees, Public, Internal and External Audits and others). Provide document management services for the Office of the DDG. Provide support to the DDG as needed, as well as provide a point of interaction with the DG offices.
