REQUIREMENTS : Minimum requirement: Basic literacy and numeracy. Experience: Appropriate trip in a Food Services environment. Inherent necessities of the job: Willingness to work shifts and overtime, which consists of weekends and public holidays. Incumbents have to be wholesome and robust adequate to carry heavy objects and be on their toes the complete day. Dress in accordance to departmental
specifications. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to read, talk and write in at least two of the three legit languages of the Western Cape. Knowledge of manufacturing for ordinary and therapeutic diets in an Industrial Food Services Unit on a massive scale. Knowledge of hygiene, occupational fitness (OHS), HACCP and protection principles. Ability to efficaciously multi-task, feature independently, in a group and beneath pressure. Knowledge and/or trip of a milk kitchen.
DUTIES : Assist in the receipt and storage of all provisions and inventory in the Food Services Unit. Pre-prepare, prepare, production, dish up and distribute of all everyday and therapeutic diets. Follow and keep widely wide-spread hygiene and security directives (HACCP and OHS) in the meals offerings unit and milk kitchen, consisting of the use of equipment and equipment, washing of crockery and cutlery and cooking utensils. Maintain protection measures of equipment and gear and record damaged equipment and equipment. Support to supervisor in financial- and human aid management.
